I am currently a mathematical/statistical analyst for the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority. The purpose of this page was to supplement my academic CV. As I am no longer employed in academia it probably won't change too often, but will be updated occasionally as necessary.

Research Interests

My research interests include operator algebras and dynamical systems. In particular, operator algebras associated to symbolic dynamical systems. My research so far involves C*-algebras associated to directed graphs and their generalisations. In particular, I have investigated graphical constructions and how they affect the symbolic dynamics associated to the graph, and the associated operator algebras. For example the Drinen-Tomforde desingularisation procedure allows us to replace any graph with a locally finite one without changing the Morita-equivalence class of the associated C*-algebra. Other standard constructions on directed graphs arise naturally as conjugacy and flow-equivalence of shift spaces. Recent projects have expanded my field of research to include C*-correspondences, product systems, Smale spaces, multidimensional shift spaces, aperiodic tilings, and von Neumann algebras.
